Garage storage on a budget

The cheapest thing on this site that turns a bare wall into hanging storage, and the one whose maker publishes how to fix it: into studs at 16 or 24 inches, beginning and ending on a stud, never on drywall anchors for heavy loads. One rail and a handful of hooks clears the rakes, the shovels and a bike from the floor in an afternoon.

Five 24 inch deep shelves at a published 1,000 lb each, which is more than any cabinet shelf on this site by a factor of two and a half, at a price bracket below any cabinet. Totes go two deep, the laminate shelves do not drop small parts, and the click-lock assembly is stated as a one-person job.

The honest cost is disclosure: Seville publishes capacity per model rather than range-wide, so read the figure on the exact unit rather than assuming it carries across the range. The Gladiator flat-pack we used to name here publishes better numbers, but its Amazon listing reads “currently unavailable” as we write.
