What this site is
Steel Slat is an independent publisher. We compile and compare specifications that manufacturers publish about garage storage products. We do not sell products, hold stock, process orders, install anything, or act as an agent for any manufacturer or retailer.
Accuracy of the information
Every figure here is taken from a named source and dated. We check them carefully and we link them so you can check them too. But:
- Manufacturers revise published specifications, sometimes without notice. A figure correct on the date shown may not be correct today.
- We report what a manufacturer claims. We do not independently verify the claim, because we do not test products.
- Our normalized figures are arithmetic on published numbers and are labeled as ours. If the input is wrong, the output is wrong.
Always check the manufacturer’s current documentation before buying or installing anything based on a figure you read here.

Some links here earn us a commission. They are marked, disclosed adjacent to the link, and described in full on the disclosure page. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and the retailer, and we are not a party to it. We cannot help with orders, delivery, returns or warranty claims.

We link to manufacturer documentation and retailer listings. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
Intellectual property
The writing, comparison tables, normalized figures and page design here are ours. You are welcome to quote a passage or cite a figure with attribution and a link. Republishing pages or tables wholesale is not permitted.
Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used here for identification only. No endorsement by any manufacturer is claimed or implied — none of them has any involvement in this site.
Limitation of liability
This site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steel Slat and its publisher are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the information here, including purchasing decisions and installation outcomes. Your remedy if you find the site unhelpful is to stop using it.
